    Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Steven Ferreira (West Sayville/Sayville) threw the winning 11-yard touchdown pass to Jake Smith (Albany/Guilderland) in the first overtime period as nationally 22nd-ranked Cortland defeated Hartwick, 48-45, in an Empire 8 contest.

  • Bearcats suffer first home loss, 3-1, to Princeton

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Thomas Sanner scored a pair of goals and Brendan McSherry finished with a goal and an assist, powering Princeton (3-2-0) to a 3-1 win over Binghamton (5-4-0) in a non-conference men's soccer game on Saturday night at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The loss was the first home setback in four matches for the Bearcats this season.

  • Eighth-ranked LSU too much for Syracuse

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Quarterback Zack Mahoney connected with Ben Lewis for a touchdown with 12 minutes left to go in the game to pull Syracuse within a touchdown of No. 8 LSU, but that would be as close as the Orange would get. The Tigers held on in the fourth quarter to stay unbeaten with a 34-24 win at the Carrier Dome.
