I'm Thinking Spring...

Spring is just around the corner. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed a couple hints of spring (other than a couple warm days). My dog (a lab-husky mix) is starting to shed her winter coat, and I noticed the birds chirping this morning when I let my dog out.

This weekend is the weekend we “Spring Ahead”, so don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night before going to bed. The only downside, is that we lose an hour sleep (certainly not too much fun when you have a newborn!). Also, now is a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke alarms.

March as we know can be very two-faced. It can bring us blizzards or 80 degree heat. One thing that March does do is warm us up. Our average highs at the beginning of the month are around 35 degrees. By the end of the month our average high climbs to 47 degrees. That’s a gain of 12 degrees. We’ll gain another 12 degrees during the month of April. Here’s a nice little fun fact… March and April are the only two months with a 12 degree gain in average temperatures.

Think Spring!!!
