Sunspots continue to be elusive in 2009. As a matter of fact the sun has been blank 75% of the time. Unless we see a super outbreak of sunspots, this year will be the lowest total so far in this solar cycle. This has thus far been the deepest solar minimum in a century! The next maximum is expected in 2013.
