You hear us talk about various models during our weathercasts. But what exactly do we look at? There are a lot of websites out there that show computer models. One of my favorite ones is the Penn State E-Wall. This shows most models that I look at on a daily basis. I invite you to check it out. It may look like a bunch of squiggly lines and a rainbow of colors, but they all mean something. You can see the Euro , GFS, NAM, UKMET, and Canadian models on this site. If you look closely you can see some of the differences in the placement of an area of low pressure (look for the "L" on the maps) Thursday into Friday.
