Did Florida Get Hit by an Unnamed Tropical System Earlier This Week?

I was perusing through Twitter the other day while on vacation and I came across this post
"tropical storm or no tropical storm" written by Stu Ostro, a senior meteorologist at The Weather Channel in Atlanta.

In it, he questions whether an unnamed tropical system hit the coast of Florida Sunday night October 9th. There were signatures of a large non-tropical "nor'easter" BUT the system also had small signatures of a small tropical cyclone. It is a well written article and very thorough. YOU be the judge!
