The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) released findings today (11/21/11) indicating a continuing increase in the amount of “Greenhouse Gases” or GHG’s, residing in the atmosphere. GHG’s trap heat, or more specifically infrared radiation, inside the earth’s atmosphere and cause it to warm. This is the leading cause in the climate change ongoing on earth. The measured levels reached a new high, since the pre-industrial revolution period, in 2010. For more information on what the WMO discovered, what GHG’s are and what causes the increase in GHG’s visit WMO Press Release #934.
