Broome Community College women's tennis team advanced to the national tournament in May 2008 in Tucson, AZ by winning the NJCAA Region III tournament this weekend. Maximum points were awarded to Abigail Greek at third singles, Melissa Pelino at fourth singles, and Jamie Mishoe and Mary Sullivan at third doubles, all of whom were champions in their flights. Amanda Lindsley at second singles, and Melissa Pelino and Cassandra Noukeo at second doubles were runners up in their flights. BCC advanced by one point over Herkimer County CC in the six-team tournament.
