I got back into carving a couple years ago. I usually try to do something that hasn't been done before and can spend weeks just coming up with an idea. Each pumpkin will take between 6 and 12 hours just between drawing up a design and the carving itself. Some people criticize that they aren't "scary" enough for Halloween, but I enjoy that it is not main-stream. I hope someone else can appreciate my ideas.
