The first picture is a milk weed pod cracking open. The second picture is a milk weed plant with all it pods open. The third picture shows the last few seeds being spread by the wind.. Did you know that during the 1 & 2 world wars that people collected the silky portion of the seeds, to be used at make lifejackets..
