After losing my elderly kitty to diabetes and leaving her brother Milo without a companion, I decided to adopt Sophie from the Animal Care Sanctuary in East Smithfield, PA this past spring. It was love at first sight for both of us when I held her. At 5 1/2 years old and having been surrendered to the sanctuary before she was two, she had spent most of her life with no Christmas Tree and no Mommy to cuddle with at night. But thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the ACS, I have a sweet new kitty to love and cherish. And Sophie has a brother and a Mommy and probably her first ever Christmas Tree to sleep under. She is an absolute blessing in our household.
