(Binghamton, NY / 22 Dec. '10) Binghamton City Firefighters, NYSEG, Verizon, etc . . . were all present this afternoon in downtown Binghamton mopping up and/or making restoration plans at the scene of the big fire that gutted portions of the midtown mall last night. BFD still had at least two trucks with ladders hoisted up and pumping water into the building - one at the Chenango St. side of it, and the other around the back near the alley the parking garage. This was 12:30'ish this afternooon.
BFD and others still on scene of fire

This fire seems suspicious to me. Maybe someone wanted to collect insurance or buy up cheap destroyed property. Hope everyone is alright. I wish the GOP would realize Fire Fighters risk their lives for us, hopefully the 911 FD bill will pass
