Hawk was found dazed and thought injured on driveway. Our son placed in box and soon recovered to where it could again take off. It was an unexpected Christmas visitor.

Thanx for trying to help him Marty. There are DEC Wildlife Rehabilitators. I forgot the name of one, but she's in Owego who specializes in bird rehabilitation. I took an injured blue jay to her once. Search the net for DEC Bird Rehabilitators Zone 7
