I braved the frigid temps in the 20's today, at Grippen Park in Endicott, in an attempt to photograph the Winter residents there. Upon getting a better look today, I saw there were both white and brown geese and also some ducks in both white and brown. What I can't imagine, is why they are more comfortable on that ice peninsula in the middle of the river than on the river banks. Made me cold just to look at them.
