Headed home from work this evening and heading west on 434, along the river towards Vestal, I note multiple tail lights glowing in the early evening view up the road. "Uh oh... " accident I'm thinking. Traffic is still moving pretty well though and as I get nearer to "the incident" I note that there is LOTS of smoke. As I round the bend I see the source of said smoke - whoa! ( bummer . . . ) A small compact car was pulled off into the shoulder and was fully engulfed in flames. There appeared to be no injuries or any other vehicles involved. Emergency services (fire department presumably) were enroute to the scene as I was pulling away. This was approximately 5:00pm Thursday evening - 13 Jan. '11.
