Members of Nichols Emergency Squad, were summons to two different calls in a five minute period. You may say this is not much, but only a few months ago the department had to rely on neighboring agencies to cover those calls. As of a few month ago the ambulance corp only had 3 active EMT's, and two drivers. After an open house the Nichols Fire Department and Emergency Squad picked up about 10 new members of those 4 have completed EMT class, two members have renewed their EMT cards, and they have added two more drivers. While most people were busy thawing their frozen pipes Seven people responded to two calls within a five minute period, leaving their frozen pipes, families, work behind to help those in need, covering the calls, and providing care and transporation to the emergency room for those that were sick or injured. This is something that would not have happened a few months ago.

Yep it's pretty bad for Emergency Workers. I just saw today that the dr*lling in PA has made it more difficult for Emergency Vehicles to save lives. If the Radical Right gets their way, that will happen here too :/ Are U related to Nancy Cartwright?
