The sun was awesome today. Made the 33 degree temps seem like spring time. The icicles were all dripping and shrinking by the minute. When our icicles drip, it's right at the front of my car tire. I've had ice form on my car before, but never like this. Many people get stranded or stuck on the road in bad weather. I was stuck in my own driveway! I hadn't gone anywhere for three days. When I did go out today, there were icicles hanging down 4" from my tire well. My whole tire and wheel cover were encased in smooth glassy ice. One quarter inch thick ice, all along the side of my car. Snow left behind from shoveling around my car, had frozen under the ice and entombed my tire. It took 5 tries and a lot of chipping at the "chunk" to free me. I'm thinking I'll park somewhere else til spring comes.
"Trixi" tired of the cold shoulder
