WRESTLING RETURNS TO BINGHAMTON FRIDAY

A veteran and rookie appear at 2CW’s Pro Wrestling Show Friday

The title of this Friday evening’s event has so many meanings for so many different people. To the fans of the Squared Circle Wrestling (www.2CW.com), it means that the top independent wrestling promotion in the country is coming back to Binghamton, NY. It means paying $25 to sit in the front row ringside, or $10 general admission, to see the greatest wrestling product that Binghamton hasn’t ever seen.

For young Mikey Metaxas, it means much more than paying for a ticket. The young man from Vestal, NY is trying to live his dream. His dream is to be a professional wrestler. This dream took a nasty turn last September, when 2CW was last in Binghamton. Mikey, who works at the Skate Estate, and is currentally attending Broome Community College, issued an open challenge to anyone within the wrestling business. That challenge, Mikey’s second only match, was accepted by former 2CW champion, “Juggernaut” Jason Axe. Just moments after losing an “I Quit” match for the championship, Jason attacked Mikey inside the ring and eventually left Mikey for dead. Mikey has not been seen in front of the live crowd since that horrifying night. Mikey is now healed, and hell bent for revenge. This coming Friday evening, he looks to gain the upper hand against Jason in a rematch from their last exchange.

“Everybody has a price, for the Million Dollar Man!” The evil laugh that follows can only mean one person in the world of professional wrestling, and that man is “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. The former WWF (now known as the WWE) tag team champion and 2010 WWE Hall of Famer is coming to 2CW to be the commissioner for the event this Friday in Binghamton. The self-proclaimed and self-crowned “Million Dollar Champion” will make decisions that will likely affect the future of 2CW and its wrestlers. Mr. DiBiase is no stranger to making history in this area. Twenty-two years ago, Ted unveiled his newly created Million Dollar Championship belt to the world on the Brother Love Show, which was taped right here in Binghamton at the Broome County Arena, on February 15, 1989. Ted DiBiase will be joined by other Squared Circle Wrestling stars which include 2CW Champion, “Slyck” Wagner Brown, Davey Richards, Brodie Lee, Eddie Edwards and of course Binghamton’s own Mikey Metaxas. This Friday fans will have to opportunity to meet WWE Hall of Famer “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets priced at $25.00 and $10.00 are available now at the site of the show the American Legion Post, 76 Main Street, and at 2cw.com. The show is scheduled to being at 8 p.m. this Friday.
