This bald eagle was spotted on Presidents Day on the South Side of Binghamton where Clifton Blvd and Vestal Ave intersect. The eagle was chasing a hawk who had quite a nice tasty lunch all planned until the eagle somehow wrestled it away from the hawk. This photo was snapped just in the nick of time as the eagle was not waiting around for the hawk to issue an official protest. Neither the eagle nor the hawk answered our request for an interview.

Beautiful picture. Awesome experience for you to see? I'm seeing a lot of pictures if the eagles in this area. They must see me coming, because I've not seen them myself.

I believe after researching it that it was most likely a fish that they were fighting over. Apparently eagles are making a comeback here and have a nest that you can see from State Park on the Chenango River.

Nice picture. I didn't know Eagles were on the south side. I've got some fat grey pesky squirrels near my house I'm sure they would like.
