I first noticed this little squirrel curled up on a branch next to the trunk of the tree. He noticed me moving with my camera, and left his post, stopping long enough (upside down) to see if I was still watching him. Then he decided, since I wasn't going away, that he'd "hunker down" and try to camouflage himself like a tree. I waited him out. I watched as nothing moved but his eyes, slowly closing, closing, shut. Then I felt bad. Not wanting all the blood to rush to his head! I opened the door so he would scamper off, and he did. I'm sure he finished his nap somewhere with less traffic.
