Our nine year old daughter, Kristen, wanted to help the homeless animals in our area. So, we held an Animal Rescue Birthday Party where the kids got to 'operate' on stuffed dogs, care for their wounds and take them to their forever homes. Kristen told all of her friends that she did not want any presents. She wanted them to bring donations for The Humane Society. When we delivered all the donations, they had two grocery shopping carts mounded full with pet food, bowls, collars, blankets, etc. We are so proud of our daughter!! Good job Kristen!

My daughter is doing this for her birthday too. We are collecting donations for the Front street dog shelter. And the same school district! What an awesome group of kids!!!
