These pics tell the story of a pair of mated Mallards as they feed along the banks of the Chenango. One pair couldn't seem to decide which way to go, upriver or downriver. The other, more mature pair,;) just cruised peacefully upriver feeding as they went.

They're beautiful animals. I hear they help control algae. Falconnest174 did you hear about the friendly duck in Brackney PA? I wonder what happened. Poachers or illegal frack dump? We've got to keep our eyes out for those environmental criminals
