Necessary snuggling

Pigeons work is never done in Binghamton

On a trip into Binghamton yesterday, I took these pictures. First I happened to notice the two pigeons, huddling together to keep warm. It was VERY windy yesterday so I'm sure they did their best to snuggle when they could. The second picture is of a pigeon perched at the very top corner of a vacant building. It looked like his/her job was "sentry" and taking it very seriously balancing up there in those winds, surveying the area. I was glad to have my feet on the ground.
