Pink Sky in the Morning

A bright pink sky early this morning

It was early and when I pulled the blinds up on our kitchen windows I could see the sky brightly lit in pink as the sun started to rise. It was a cold, brisk morning but it didn't stop me from grabbing my camera and capturing the beauty of what I saw. I stepped out on the deck in the back of our home and hoped to be able to get a photo of what I was looking at. The picture doesn't compare to looking at the sky in all its splendor. There will be other bright pink skies but for some reason all I wanted to do was sit with my coffee, look out the window and watch the sky that greeted me first thing. The photo will help me to remember a very peaceful moment in what can be a chaotic world. It was also a great way to start my day which promised to be a busy one for me. Throughout the day I reflected on the brilliant pink color of the sky and its beauty and it gave me a sense of well being throughout the day's hectic schedule. I remembered the peaceful moments, serenity and calm of the morning knowing there would be others but none that would leave an indellible memory. Perhaps it was the timing, or the way it took me off guard, or just where I was at at the time but I walked away knowing the beauty in the world and how you can find it by simply looking up at the sky. It was a gentle reminder that you can find beauty when you least expect it and it's a welcomed surprise. The photo will always be there for me to enjoy. And to think it started simply by looking out the window. It may not always be that easy to find beauty in the world but it's there for those who want to and need to see it. I found it simply by looking up at a sky. No one could paint and capture it's true and natural beauty. The warmth of the colors and their display is unique. I'm thankful I was able to experience the beauty of it as it greeted me this morning. It was a site to behold.
