My Mother have survived so much. My mother has fought Drug Addiction and Alcoholism at a very young age, beating the odds and remaining sober for 20+ years. After having 3 babies, my father was in a horrible accident; he was told he would never walk again. He too beat the odds, but remains disabled. 18 years ago today, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. She took care of me. She also fought her own entourage of illnesses. Now she is the best Nana to my daughter a girl could ever ask for. I am truly blessed to have my mom. Even if she doesn't win this contest, she already wins the Mother's Day contest in my heart.
