A sure sign of spring is when you hear the chorus of these small thumb size frogs. This nocturnal peeper (usually hard to locate) was seen in our barberry bush this evening 4/26/11. They usually call from the edges of the bodies of water in which they breed, hidden near the bases of shrubs or grasses. With all the recent rain our yard seems like a wetland.
