At one time, the word bald meant white so that is how Bald Eagle was named. The American Bald Eagle represents not only great strength, long life, and majestic appearance, but also freedom as it lives in the solitary grandeur of Nature. We were very fortunate to see this magnificent symbol of America at a raptor program at the Waterman Conservation Center this past weekend.
