Owego's Memorial Day parade on May 30th will be the first time since 1983, that the Mello-Dears will hit the streets with drums, horns and banners, just like when we were teen aged girls way back when, we have been rehearsing for months, and like today, come rain or shine we keep thinking warm thoughts and sunny days...the bones ache more than before, so we move slower. We want to welcome any and all women of all ages to join us for some unique, non-traditional fun this summer. Wouldn't you love to become a part of the only ALL WOMEN PARADE CORPS in the area? Any Sunday at 107 Central Ave in Owego, you can watch or join us. or contact us through facebook. We can't be the only ones out there having all the fun!

That is awesome! I hope all of the women in the Southern Teir will get their Drum Corp on and come join the ladies for the parades! What a great tribute to the members, mothers, fathers, bus drivers, food wagon meal cooks, and more!
