Carrs Creek from Sidney Center to the Susquehanna River at Poplar Hill Rd. Never went over the road since we moved here in 1973.

CARRS CREEK AT POPLAR HILL A TORRENT

What started in Sidney Center this afternoon as a flood became a raging torrent a couple hours later when Carrs Creek coursed its way to the Susquehanna River. This bridge is on Poplar Hill Rd near Youngs Station between Sidney Center and Sidney. The road was closed for a time before the floor waters started to recede. We have resided on this road since 1973; seen a few high water situations, but never over the bridge. Bridget DeMott, our daughter in law, braved the downpour to get these pictures.

For a minute there, I thought this was that hill near the Binghamton Airport in between the airport and Route 26, but I see in the description it's not. If trees are cut down for drilling rigs, you'll see more floods like this :/
