An acquaintance guided me to this Killdeer who promptly put on a show of being injured, in order to get us away from her nest. As you can see from the photos she is fine and only does this to distract possible predators from her helpless chicks or eggs. Found somewhere in the Northside of Binghamton.

Hi Falcon, I've never heard of an animal doing that. Of course, it could really be injured. I try to watch over my wildlife.
