Today at 12 noon Binghamton's city officials cam and showed their support for the local Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual,and Queer community. Mayor Matt Ryan took center stage along with Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, and Councilmen Sean Massey highlight the progress the City of Binghamton has made in order to make the city a safe and welcoming place for its LGTBQ residents. Recent news of NYS Senator Libous's participation in creating a bill that would nullify same sax marriages preformed outside of NYS has created a stir in the local community. Binghamton is home to the NYS Senators openly gay cousin who wrote to the local newspaper just to have the letter published then removed shortly after.

It's sad that racism prevents equality. I get a little queezy at the sight of 2 guys together, but it's not really hurting me. Religious Right Wingers talk about freedom and the bill of rights, but then ignore "separation of church and state". GG :)
