Today was Tractor Day at Delaware Academy in Delhi, when numerous students honor their agricultural lifestyles by driving their tractors to school, causing a mild sensation by taking a route through the village of Delhi. What was considered a prank and frowned upon by the school administration when it first occurred several years ago, the community rallied around the students who were serious about raising awareness and respect for the farming traditions near and dear to their hearts. Now, every year towards the end of the school year, folks look forward to the unique parade of farm tractors snaking its way to the front of the school on the hill.
