Boy Scouts from Troop 225 in Vestal escaped the storms in the Southern Tier last weekend by riding Pennsylvania's 61-mile Pine Creek Rail Trail from Ansonia to Jersey Shore. Short of a brief encounter with a timber rattlesnake, the Scouts had a wonderful ride. "The Scout motto "Be prepared" served us well", said Assistant Scout leaders Mike Fosbury and Bryan Early.
