County Rt. 1 in the Town of Greene, also known as Cloverdale Road was washed out due to today's flash flooding. A metal culvert pipe, approximately 10 feet in diameter was damaged when raging waters capsized one end. The waters then lifted the pipe, moving it downstream, taking guardrails with it until it eventually stopped in the neighboring corn field. Greene Fire Department responded as well as Chenango Forks Fire Department.
