A 75 foot section of culvert and road was washed away within minutes stranding residents on Cloverdale Road in the town of Greene, just north of Chenango Forks. Heavy rain and a reported tornado touchdown in Greene spawned heavy downpours that overwhelmed the small tributary feeding the chenango river and washed away the entire road.

with the damage that has been done, they should just build a bridge across that washout area instead of filling it in with another pipe.
