The Mello-Dears will be honored by the Mayor of Owego, on the occasion of their 50th Anniversary Block party, by a proclamation that July 30th will be MELLO-DEAR DAY in Owego. They are an awesome group of sisters at heart, from the 60's,70's,80's and new members. They are busy recruiting after a summer of parades, and have members as young now as 13. They want to bring younger members into the fold, to carry on the "Sisterhood". They have plans in the near future, to work toward encouraging the empowerment of women of all ages, in the area. All Drum corps nuts from over the years are invited to join them on "MELLO-DEAR DAY" in Owego on July 30. See facebook page for more info.
