Watching over the young

Three Eagles in the backyard

I was lucky enough to witness three of the four eagles living in the backyard at the same time. This is the first time I have been able to see the young together since leaving the nest. There is a definite difference in their size, color, and beaks. The adult eagle flew in shortly after the young landed, and appeared to be assessing the environment for safety. Once the adult left the young remained, communicating with one another for approximately 30 more minutes.
