McDonald's on Court St. 9/8/11

Court Street Flood 2011

My Husband and I set out Wednesday evening to see how bad the flooding was on Court Street. The sewer cap on Fairview was taken on our way home. We live on Robinson Street but was not evacuated. Thursday morning we had to get some groceries so we decided to go back to Court Street to see how high the water had risen overnight. We were shocked at how fast the water had accumulated over those hours. The McDonald's has once again flooded as well as the Family Dollar and other local businesses on Court Street. We have never seen water like this. When the flood of 2006 happended we just watched the news coverage from our home. This time we want to keep our eyes on this flood because it is suppose to be worse then the 2006 flood which now puts our home in danger. Our prayers go out to all the families affected by these damaging flood waters.
