The little red house in the back ground, thru all the major floods in the Cannon Hole Road region over the decades, is one of few dwellings that has never been flooded by the Susquehanna River. Here it appears to have about two feet of water in it. In the Fore-ground is the home of Jane Perry. To my knowledge she and her children are safe, but I can not confirm that at this time. While taking this pic I spoke with several by-standards, who informed me that 11 people were air-lifted from the immediate Cannon Hole Road community. From my current understanding everyone got out in good health. After the 2006 Fema buy outs only two cottages remained on the very low section of Lower Cannon Hole Road. They were inaccessible at the time this photo was taken, but those two homes are undoubtedly washed away and completely destroyed, as are other dwellings on the Upper Cannon Hole Road vicinity, but that is also unconfirmed, due the Susquehanna's present water level.
