I woke up Thursday morning and noticed standing water in my backyard, something that had never happened before. When I went out to investigate, I could see through the brush along my property that the left end of trailer park behind me, located on Jewell Road, was flooded. The right side rises up and was safe, but unfortunately the left side slopes down and the small creek that flows behind the trailers and on the other side of a bank or levy has somehow found its way over or around it. The first pictur shows the row of pine trees that line the left side of the access road and the trailers run along the right side of the access road. The second picture shows one of the trailers and a wicker settee that had floated out in front as if you could sit down on it and observe the destruction and tragedy all around. The third picture shows the snow fence that runs along the south end of the trailer park, separating it from the home that is located between the trailer park and the home that is behind where the Honey Buns Restaurant used to be located before it burned down. The snow fence caught all of the children's toys, picnic items and other objects that had been left out on the lawns or were from their decks and porches.
