Binghamton Evacuation Thursday

Flood 2011 Evacuation of Downtown

A clip showing the evacuation of Binghamton over the Court St. bridge. Authorities were letting people leave the downtown area by vehicle or on foot, but would not allow anyone to enter. This is because there was concern that the flood walls might fail. At the time this man attempted to re-enter downtown, the river was starting to overtop the flood walls.
