It's noticeable now, that although there are still curbside mounds in front of flooded homes and businesses, the contents have changed. Crews have scooped up and removed the Personal belongings and contents of homes, and you now see the demolition debris of wood, dry wall, and insulation. Homeowners, weary from day after day emptying and gutting their homes, seem to not know how to stop. One man was spraying the street outside his home, to remove the mud and dust. Not waiting for a street sweeper or "crew" to arrive, sharing his doubt that they would actually come for that job. The sign in front of an Owego Front Street home, marking the area as a Historical District, actually marks it as making history once again.
