Donna Ford and her staff at the Old Mill Restaurant have weathered through the Flood of 2011 and it is open for business. The mill experienced, miraculously, no flooding inside and only some minor outside damage. Donna, owner and chef, explained that they were only closed from September 7th to the 17th as she had lost most of the food inventory due to lack of electricity. The restaurant is on the state and national register as an historic and part of the historic site designation of the hamlet of Rockwells Mills.
The Guilford Historical Society will be holding their Annual Dinner at the Old Mill on Oct. 6th at 6 PM. GHS is celebrating the approval by the New York State Board of Education the final Absolute Charter for the Guilford Historical Society. The charter was received this fall. We welcome you to join us for dinner. To make a reservation and for more details, please call before Sun. Oct. 2nd – (607) 895-6532. All are welcome. Come and join us for the celebration.
