On a recent whale watch off the coast of California, we ran into more than a few of the local residents. Approximately 2,000 Common Dolphins played in the sea and raced against our boat. We also saw some seals who climbed out of the ocean for some R & R on a buoy and a couple of pelicans who landed on another buoy to dry off.
