Take the road up to Kopernik Observatory in Vestal, but beware of the beauty. You might want to have someone else drive, or if you're alone, wear "blinders" until you park your car and get out. The views are phenomenal right now with Autumn foliage. I liked the barbed wire and old wood fences along the road. Almost as if they were there to protect the view. The fences and posts themselves a photo worthy subject.
