The night of 1/8/2012 or early morning hours of 1/9/2012 there was a beautiful, perfect circle around the moon as shown in the photo. This picture was not edited in any way shape or form. It was quite spectacular.

I think that's called a "moon dog" or is it with the sun and it's called a "sun dog"? Some say it's an indication that it's going to snow too. It was certainly bright wasn't it? I let my dog out after midnight, she cast a shadow on the driveway.
