01/26/2012 -update- living in a Fema Trailer.
A Fema representative stopped by to check on the Fema Trailer, she checked smoke detectors and took some pictures of the bar-codes placed on the trailer. She asked, how long do you think you will need this trailer unit ? What are you plans for rebuilding your home ? Do you have plans to relocate ?
Fema allows use of the temporary housing for 18 months, which the clock started the day of the flood declaration was signed in Sept/2011, even though the trailer arrived on 11/11/11. it took 6 weeks to get into the trailer on 12/23/2011.
The Fema representative said she'd be back in 30 days. Looking for progress on either rebuilding the damaged home or relocating to another home. Way too much paper work and red tape for all those who were flooded.
Kinda hard to give a definite answer or know what the future holds.
