Winter sports enthusiasts have waited for their favorite season to arrive. The downhill skiers always have a slight "edge" on the other winter sports due to snowmaking capabilities at local ski resorts. The past two weekends have been stellar for downhill skiers in Central New York. Skiers were treated to a "powder day" on the second weekend in February and more snow this past weekend. That combined with abundant snowmaking during the cold nights of the past several weeks has created good ski conditions and snow reserves at local resorts.
The attached video was taken on Sunday, February 18 at Greek Peak, just south of Cortland, NY. The skiers are all members of the Triple Cities Ski Club based in Binghamton, NY.
