Yesterday while in South Waverly, I stopped by an old building that was used to store and sort coal into various sizes. I've seen this building and have been curious about it, and I was glad I stopped to take a closer look. I met an 'old timer' who actually knew what this structure was called! It's called a coal tipple. If you look closely at the close-up shots, you will see the sizes of the coal labeled near the coal shoots.
