Yesterday, we went to Beaver Lake Nature Center in Baldwinsville where I saw my very first wild owl out in its natural environment. Only 6 to 7 inches tall, the Saw-whet owl is the smallest owl and it is a real gem. My husband had to promise to take me back within a week before I would go home!
