Seeing spirals this spring in Owego

Driving across the Court street bridge in Owego, you can see, the river row buildings are getting a face lift after the September flood. 'Springing' up, seems to be the idea of having spiral staircases from the buildings that go down to the level of the river walk. So far you can see two buildings have these. I actually think it's nice to see some progress and a little bit of 'modernizing' on the back of these buildings. However, since childhood, living where I could could see this view daily, I hope some of the 'historical look remains. They are both beautiful to me.
